Confession time: this past weekend, I got just a bit transfixed by the L’Occitane En Provence beauty slot on QVC. All those beautiful, big bottles of delicious-smelling oils, milks and soaps … the promise of transporting a little bit of South of France sunshine to your bathroom or dressing table. Irresistible!
If you’re shopping around for a new spring/summer summer scent, try a squirt of L’Occitane’s new, limited edition Pivoine Délicate, based on the peony. It’s a lovely, bright, sunshine-y floral, packaged in an equally pretty, peony-pink box …
The range also includes a sweetly-packaged hand cream, lip shines and glosses, lipsticks and a shimmering powder (check them out online).
Meanwhile, if you’re going to be in Windsor this coming Bank Hol weekend, don’t miss the opening of the new L’Occitane boutique, on Thursday, 3 May at 3.30 pm. As well as offering the first 30 customers a free L’Occitane Romantic Floral Collection (worth £17), all shoppers can enjoy a 15 % discount on any purchase over £25 (excluding special value gift sets) over the weekend, from 3 – 7 May.
Love this cute alternative to the Union Jack for a pair of patriotic pjs! …
Featuring city landmarks and icons including The London Eye, a black cab and Tower Bridge, don’t you think The Little White Company has got it spot in with its new London Stripe Pyjamas?
A great colour combo, and a fresh change from flying the flag!
It’s all about bright pops of colour at Gap stores right now and, with the grey, drizzly weather we’ve been having this week, what better fashion medicine?
Just a heads-up, mamas, that there’s a 30 % off EVERYTHING today and over the weekend at Gap stores (excluding sale stock), so now’s the time to snap up that spring/summer wardrobe ‘fill in’ – like a bright, peppy scarf …
… or this pretty, swirly-floral one …
… at a very decent discount! Loving the neon three-quarter length jeans, too. And the neon-bright brollies for these April showers!
See you all on Monday, wishing you great weekends with hopefully some sunshine in the gaps! (Did you see what I did there?) …
Can’t resist a fruit-flavoured lip shine. One of my first make-up loves – before I was allowed to wear any! – were those roll-on, syrupy ones that came stuck to the covers of Seventies teen magazines. I remember ooh-ing over them in our local chemist, they seemed the height of grown-up glam.
The novelty hasn’t worn off. Just on counter from Maybelline New York, the new Color Sensational Popsticks look as fun as they smell, with their translucent neon tubes and see-through sticks of fruit-flavoured colour ..
In fact, it’s not a full on colour – more of a slick of tinted shine, as you’d get with a fruit flavoured lip balm.
Super-fun and summery, in Pink Lollipop (shown above), Pink Sugar, Citrus Slice, Crystal Pink or Cherry Pop!
It’s been a busy week for Darcey Bussell. Not only has the mama of two just been announced as a judge (replacing Alesha Dixon) for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, today The Sanctuary Spa revealed that she will be the ‘face’ of a new skincare range, launching in July.
I interviewed Darcey years ago for a fitness magazine. We met in the rehearsal rooms at The Royal Opera House and she was just lovely – totally down to earth – and a complete sport when our photographer suggested shooting her on a motorbike, in leathers, for a laugh. She went for it – and the pics were fab.
Nonstopmama will have more on the new products, targeted at women in their forties plus, closer to launch this summer. But, in the meantime nonstopmama says ‘Encore, Darcey!’ – bring on the glitter and the glamour!
