Of course, having a pro make-up artist is the first step!
But here’s how make-up artist Molly Stern achieved this glowing, summery look for Kate, in London last week, using Laura Mercier products (other than the moisturising serum, mentioned first, which at a cool £220 is definitely a Hollywood option!!).
‘To prepare Kate’s skin, I first applied RéVive Intensité Moisture Extreme to give her skin a deep flash of moisture and create a supple surface. To ensure a dazzling glow for the night, I applied Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance (£28). For the bright glow on her cheeks, I applied the Shimmer Bloc in Pink Tourmaline Mosaic (£31), to the apples of her cheeks and up onto the cheekbone.
‘For her eyes, I prepped the lid up the base of the brow bone, with Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Peach. Next, I shaded the outer edge of the crease with the Baked Eyeshadow (£18.50) in Black Carat and then “popped” the inside of the lid using the same product in Terracotta. I then curled the lashes and applied two coats of Full Blown Lash Mascara (£18.50).
‘On the lips, I filled in her entire pout with Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Baby Lips and topped it off in the Lip Glacé in Sparkling.
‘Just before she stepped out, I dusted her entire complexion with the Matte Bronzing Powder (£26), to send her out with a rich, summer-kissed glow!’
