This morning, I’m thrilled to welcome Shavata – the eyebrow grooming expert who has shaped many a famous arch – to nonstopmama!
Shavata has shared her tips for getting and maintaining perfect brows here at nonstopmama, where we also featured her fabulous, fund-raising Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Tweezers.
Today, she gives us a peek into her own make-up bag, and reveals some of the products and tricks of the trade she wouldn’t be without!
My beauty secrets, with Shavata
What are your everyday make-up must-haves?
I like Sisley Mascara, because it doesn’t smudge and it makes my lashes look thicker and longer. The New <iD i-gloss Light Up Lip Gloss (below) is another favourite – the mirror on the side and the little light inside makes it perfect to use in the evening, in the back of a cab when there is never enough light!

I am a real fan of Crème de la Mer and wear the Tinted Moisturiser, and Bare Minerals Mineral Veil powder, as it’s natural and light. I also just love Daniel Sandler’s liquid blush, the Watercolour Blush (below) as it lasts forever, is easy to apply and comes in great colours.

How do you look after your hair, and style it in a hurry?
I use the Phyto Shampoo, Conditioner and Ampoules, and then I use Philip Kingsley’s Elasticizer (below). I try not to abuse my hair! If I am in a hurry, I blow dry my hair straight.

Any bodycare favourites, products you love?
Nails: nude, bright or au naturel?!
All of them, depending on my mood. I might do shocking pink toes and nude nails.
Any beauty indulgences you try and make time for?
I have facials with Dr Nignma Talib - 24 hours after one of her facials, my skin will be glowing.
What is/are the best beauty tips you’ve ever been given?
When it comes to eyebrows, you should not be able to see where the hair stops and the make-up starts.
Keep all your make-up pencils sharp.
Once you get to what feels like the end of a product, cut the tube in half and you’ll be able to get an extra week worth of use from your product!
And never ‘pump’ mascara. This pushes air into the tube which dries it out. Twist instead.
Thanks for sharing your tips with nonstopmama, Shavata!
