Hot off the red carpet, mamas, here’s the scoop on how super-stylist Kerry Warn, international creative consultant at John Frieda, created Nicole Kidman’s gorgeous, easy-looking up-do for Cannes …

‘I wanted to create a fresh, almost casual glamour look,’ says Kerry, who has worked with Nicole on her movies, editorial shoots and red carpet appearances for years. ‘So we opted for a soft, loose chignon’.
Here, then, is how to do it, in Kerry’s words.
How to recreate Nicole Kidman’s look
1. The hair was prepped with John Frieda® Frizz-Ease® Hair Serum, applied to wet hair and then blow-dried smooth using a large, natural bristle brush. I created a parting and then clipped back the front and side sections.
2. I then used a small barrel curling tong, taking random sections of the lengths of hair creating a classic wave, concentrating on the mid-lengths to ends. I then twisted the sections and secured with pins to create a soft, loose chignon.
3. The whole look was moulded into place with a fine spray of John Frieda® Frizz-Ease® Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray.
Cannes-tastic!
