I’ve been a fan of Jo’s fragrances since she first splashed onto the beauty scene – 18 years ago, unbelievably! – and wowed the beauty and fashion pack with her immediately distinctive, utterly gorgeous creations.
Jo has the amazing ability to create fragrances that smell ‘classic’, instantly. As if you’ve known and loved them forever. And then, sure enough, they become classics.

My beauty secrets, with Jo Malone
What are your everyday make-up must-haves?
I don’t really wear much make-up and, because I’ve got sensitive skin, I’m loyal to products that don’t irritate. My absolute essentials are MAC foundation and Bobbi Brown lip pencil.
How do you look after your hair, and style it in a hurry?
The BabyLiss Big Hair Styler is a lifesaver. It rolls as it dries, to give great body.
Any bodycare favourites?
I love making my own body scrub by mixing together sea salt, olive oil and adding grated orange and mandarin peel. I always follow the scrub with Guinot Tropic Tonic Energising Shower Gel,which is divine.
I’m going on holiday soon and always use Banana Boat SPF 50.
Nails: nude, bright or au naturel?!
I like my nails to be really short and painted with a natural polish.
Any beauty indulgences you try and make time for?
I don’t have a very indulgent beauty routine but I do love having regular Priori Coffee facials at K X Gym in Chelsea.
Since going through chemotherapy, my eyelashes have been very short and so I see Kathryn at Flutter for lash extensions every four weeks. They look incredible and I don’t ever need mascara!
What are the best beauty tricks you’ve ever been shown ?
Sudocrem is a miracle cure for cracked heels!
