… from buggies to ball games. From the makers of Swingball comes something new that won’t get in a tangle or leave telltale holes in your grass (unless your ‘lawn’ is crying out for some pre-summer TLC already, in which case this won’t be such an issue, but that’s a gardening post for another day).
One to try in the half-term hols later this month, Mookie Toys’ new Tailball is, essentially, softball with a twist in the “tail”, designed to slow and stabilise the movement of the ball and improve hand-eye co-ordination. Our willing testers, aged between 4 and 16, tried the Tailball Extreme (£14.99, for outdoor use) and it went down brilliantly – even on a windy day. A bit like badminton, but with the solidity and satisfying ‘whack’ factor of a ball.
The range also includes the Tailball Back Pack Attack (£29.99, complete with backpack and net), and Tailball Light, pictured (£12.99, also suitable for indoors). A frisbee-like Tailball Flyer (£8.99) and Tailball Rocket Zoomer (£9.99, for throw and catch) are available, too. For more info, visit mookietoys.co.uk.
