Organising your beauty stuff!

How do you organise your make-up and beauty stuff?

I’m determined to try harder. I tend to dash from room to room, where I keep different bits and pieces (it often feels more like a game of dodgeball during the school morning rush!).

And I more or less have to fight off belts and accessories every time I go to get my hairdryer out of the closet.

I should know better, having seen how the pro’s organise their kits on shoots and I did, once, have something like the one above.

Except now it’s in the garage, filled to bursting with school name labels and other random sewing-related things like a jumper ‘de-bobbler’ (that I’ve never used).

Nicole Feliciano, founder of Mom Trends, has just done this great video on how she got organised, and I particularly love the idea of using a clear organising tray to corral bits and pieces into. I hear IKEA calling …

… I love this lidded GODMORGON box (to protect products from dust/splashes), at £15!

If you like your shabby chic/vintage style, another option is to use pretty cake stands for your products, inspired by this storage solution …

Or, you could go for something more modern and functional – I have something very similar to this in my home office, for beauty samples and it works super-well …

Except my shelves are super-messier and from IKEA – here’s the link to a good selection – and they were really easy to put up.

So my husband says :)

This video, too, from the budget-savvy Do It On A Dime offers a clever, DIY organisation project (while we don’t have Bed, Bath & Beyond in the UK, many scented candles come packaged in a very similar way).

How do you organise your bathroom and beauty stuff? Or don’t you?!

Are you with me on the mission to #GetBeautyOrganised?
